PhotoRail Privacy Policy

Last updated: January 18, 2026

PhotoRail is a macOS application by Beehive Software LLC. This policy explains how PhotoRail handles your information.

TL;DR

  • We do not collect or sell personal data.
  • No accounts, analytics, ads, or tracking.
  • Your photos stay on your devices.

Information we do not collect

PhotoRail does not collect, transmit, sell, or share personal data. The app does not require accounts, does not include analytics or advertising SDKs, and does not track you across apps or websites.

How the app works

When you connect an iPhone and choose a destination folder, PhotoRail reads the device's media list and copies selected files to the folder you choose. All transfers happen locally between your iPhone and your Mac. We do not run servers for PhotoRail, and your photos or videos are not uploaded to us.

File access

PhotoRail only accesses folders you explicitly choose. The app stores a macOS security-scoped bookmark to remember your selected destination folder between launches.

Network access

PhotoRail does not make network requests and does not send any data off your Mac.
